North Country Ministry Services
Supportive Counseling: We provide a listening ear to those in need of emotional comfort, support, and advice. When needed, we work to direct people to therapeutic counseling. Service privacy is of utmost importance.
Advocacy and Referral: We advocate on behalf of individuals and families in need of assistance with other community based programs, service providers, and the local Department of Social Services.
Affordable Housing: Located in Johnsburg, these units provide affordable housing for seasonal and local working adults. Formerly a twelve-unit motel, the units have been upgraded to small efficiency apartments.
Food Pantry: NCM's Warrensburg Food Pantry is open Wednesdays from 1-4 pm.
Family Clothing Center: We make available gently used and sometimes new clothing for the entire family. Clothing is received, processed, and displayed at the Warrensburg Center. (See Warrensburg Center page for details.)
Furniture Barn: Located in North Creek, the Furniture Barn provides donated, used furniture to anyone in need. Please note the Furniture Barn will be closed from Dec. 5, 2015 until April 2016. In case of an emergency, contact NCM at 518-251-4460 to make an appointment.
Gathering Place: On Tuesdays from September through June, NCM offers a home cooked lunch, along with hospitality and fellowship, at the First Presbyterian Church, Stewart Farrar Street, Warrensburg. Learn more ...
Emergency Assistance Fund: We provide short term help with basic life needs (food, clothing, and gasoline) to people in our service area.
Parenting Support: We assist the caregivers (parents, grandparents, and guardians, etc.) of infants and toddlers.
The Baby's Place: Meets Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm at the Adirondack Community Outreach Center (2718 Route 28, Johnsburg). The Group offers interactive educational play experiences for infants, toddlers, and their caregivers.
