Due to the rising COVID-19 numbers and spread of the DELTA variant, NCM is again requiring all visitors entering our buildings maintaining the health and safety of North County Ministry, visitors, staff and volunteers, NCM will be temporarily suspending our Clothing and Furniture Programs beginning Tuesday, December 7th until an unforeseen future date.

Donations of clothing, food and furniture are temporarily not being accepted until further notice. We appreciate our donors and we look forward to resuming our programs in the foreseeable future.

Our Food Pantry services both Brant Lake and Warrensburg sites will remain available at its usual times.

Updated rules for COVID-19 prevention.

With Covid still a risk to our community, NCM is upholding rules for visitors entering our facilities to ensure the health of our guests and staff.

-Visitors entering any of our facilities must wear a mask if they are not vaccinated.

Welcome back to Leavenhouse!

Our North Creek Center “Leavenhouse” is reopened to the community after being closed for COVID-19. During that time we were able to give the center a much needed face lift, recruit new staff and make other preparations to reopen strong.

The center is available by appointment only and you must call in advance as walk ins will not be permitted. COVID-19 safeguards are required. Masks must be worn at all times and social distancing must be observed.

The Baby’s Place is available on Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 1:00pm.

To our community,

We are happy to announce the reopening and expanding of our programs and services. However, with COVID-19 still looming, we will be still be observing safety protocols for both staff and visitors. Everyone entering the building must wear a mask and maintain social distance.

The Warrensburg Clothing Center is open for visitors by appointment only on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Appointments are 30 minutes long and only one person is permitted per appointment.

The Furniture Program is open for visitors by appointment only on Tuesdays from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm as well as Thursdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Appointments are 30 minutes long and two people are permitted per appointment to accomodate for heavy items.

The North Creek Center is reopening Monday, May 3rd. Our caseworker, Jen, will be available by phone only, Monday through Thursday from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm She will also be avaiable on the second Tuesday of every month for the extended hours of 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Jen can be reached at (518) 251-4460 Ext. 301.

Starting May 4th, the Baby’s Place in North Creek will again be opened on Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. For further information call: (518) 251-4460 Ext. 302.

To our community,

We regretfully announce that all programs will once again be suspended until April 12th. Appointments previously made by visitors to use the Clothing Center and Furniture Program will be postponed until we reopen. New appointment requests will not be accepted during this time.

We are also not accepting clothing or furniture donations at this time either. Please hold onto your donations until after April 12th when we will gladly accept them.

In regard to this closure, both the Warrensburg and Brant Lake food pantries will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, March 31st.

To our cherished community,

With COVID-19 vaccines rolling out and new case numbers declining, North Country Ministry will resume programs and services that were previously suspended. These programs will resume at minimal operation and expand further to full capacity as long as the COVID numbers continue to decline. The operations are as follows:

Visitors must call in advance to schedule an appointment. Only one person is permitted per appointment and anyone entering the building must wear a mask and abide by social distancing. Please call Laurie at (518) 623-2829 Ext.302 to schedule an appointment.

The Clothing Center will reopen March 4th and will be open thereafter on Thursdays and Fridays, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Our Furniture Program will reopen March 4th and will be open thereafter on Thursdays, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Visitors must call in advance to schedule an appointment. Appointments are half an hour long and only one person is permitted per an appointment. Anyone entering the building must wear a mask and abide by social distancing. Restrooms will not be available. All other programs and services will also be unavailable. Please call Laurie at (518) 623-2829 Ext.302 to schedule an appointment.

Clothing donations are again being accepted. Please drop your items off during business hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm. If you are unable to drop off during these hours, please leave your items at the main entrance of our first/front building.

Furniture donations are not being accepted via our pickup service. However, we are offering drop offs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Donors must call in advance to schedule a drop off appointment. Leaving furniture without an appointment is strictly prohibited.

Outreach Services are still available via phone. If you need assistance, contact our caseworker, Rebecca, at (518) 623-2829 Ext.301. With our North Creek Center still under renovation, we ask anyone needing assistance from the North Creek area to use the same extension and ask for our caseworker, Jen.

Both our Food Pantries are still available. The Warrensburg Pantry is available on Wednesdays, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Our Brant Lake Pantry is available on Wednesdays, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed. Visitors are prohibited from entering the building and will be provided prepacked food boxes.

Unfortunately, the Gathering Place will remain suspended until the restrictions and risk associated with COVID are no longer a concern. We are still not accepting new tenants at our Adult Living Units.

The appoarch of spring brings us hope of warmer weather and brighter days. Let us also hope for an end to COVID and better health for our friends, family and community.

Donations Temporarily Not Being Accepted

Out of abundance of caution due to the increased spread of COVID in the community, NCM will not be accepting donations until further notice.

This includes donations for our Clothing Center, Furniture Program and Food Pantries, as well as our North Creek Center.

Programs Closed Again

In response to the increasing COVID-19 cases in Warren County, and out of an abundance of caution and concern for maintaining the health and safety of North Country Ministry visitors, staff and volunteers, NCM will be temporarily suspending our Clothing and Furniture Programs beginning Monday, January 11th.

Our Food Pantry services at both the Brant Lake and Warrensburg sites will remain available at its usual times:

Warrensburg: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm every Wednesday
Brant Lake: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm every Wednesday

This plan incorporates the best guidance and information from state and local governments and health agencies. The NCM team will continue keeping you advised of the status for all our programs and services as we analyze new COVID-19 developments, guidance and procedures. Furniture Program Reopening

The Furniture Program is reopening on December 3rd.

In our continued effort to keep our visitors safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are opening the program by appointment only. Appointments are available every Thursday from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Each appointment is half an hour long and allowed up to two people.

COVID-19 restrictions apply. All visitors must wear masks while on the premises and stay at least six feet apart from each other and our staff.

Food Pantry Policy Reinstated

Starting Wednesday, September 2 both the Warrensburg and YMCA Food Pantries will reinstate the visitation policy of the Regional Food Bank. Visitors will again be limited to no more than two visits per month.

COVID-19 Food Pantry Operations

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the Warrensburg Food Pantry will be remain open on Wednesdays from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Visitors will be asked to wait outside and a food box will be packed for them. If you are feeling ill, please arrange for someone else to pick up your food box for you. 

The Pottersville Food Pantry has been temporarily relocated to the YMCA Adirondack Center at 148 Tannery Road, Brant Lake, and will be open on Wednesdays from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm through June 24th.
